Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how the Jazz Guitar app (“the App”) handles your data.
The App uses your device’s microphone solely for real-time pitch detection in the trainers and tuner, to check the notes you play. Audio is analyzed on your device in real time and immediately discarded — it is never recorded, saved, or transmitted. (The ear trainer plays sounds for you to identify and does not use the microphone at all.)
The App stores your practice history and statistics on your device so it can show your progress and decide what to review next. If you are signed into iCloud, this data is synced across your own devices through Apple’s iCloud (a private database tied to your Apple ID); otherwise it stays only on your device. Either way the data lives in your own iCloud account — the developer operates no servers and has no access to it. iCloud syncing is provided by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can export a copy as a JSON file, or erase everything, from Settings › Data.
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Purchases are processed by Apple; the developer never receives your name, payment details, or Apple ID. Whether you have an active subscription is checked on your device through the App Store. Apple’s handling of this information is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Your preferences (such as note naming, reference pitch, and appearance) are stored locally on your device and are not synced or transmitted. They are removed when you delete the App.
The App does not use any analytics services, advertising frameworks, or third-party tracking technologies, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
The developer does not collect personal data and does not sell or share any data with third parties. The only data that leaves your device goes to Apple’s own services — iCloud sync and App Store purchases — on your behalf, under Apple’s policies.
Your practice history is kept until you remove it. You can reset all statistics from Settings › Data (this also clears the data on every device synced via iCloud), and deleting the App removes its local data. To remove the iCloud copy as well, delete the App’s iCloud data from Settings › [your name] › iCloud.
The developer does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
